Creative pictorialist photography for stock usage, corporate and home décor art. Created by Canadian artist, Roberta Murray, Pictorialist Photo approaches photography much the same as the Pictorialist photographers of the late 19th century to tell a more personal, interpretative story. Based more on the photographers dreams and imagination than reality, a fresh take on photographic imagery results. Roberta combines traditional techniques, historical ideas and contemporary tools, using the camera more as a paintbrush than a mechanical device in creating her images. After studying photography in the late 1980s, Roberta abandoned the medium and spent 14 years working in the fibre arts. It is this work which lead her back to photography using textile theories of colour, texture, and depth to create evocative representations of abstract ideas or moods. Images are available for licensing by advertising, editorial, corporate, retail, tv & film industries. Larger tiff format files are available if your project requires high resolution files or 50+ mb.
